MusicTJ began his musical career as a dancer. He began dancing in his early teens, and performed on a number of stages across the UK, teaching and conducting workshops. His original aim was to open his own dance school until a car accident in his early 20s which killed that particular dream.
TJ began singing as part of a Gospel Choir in Birmingham, UK and began singing solo when he returned to full time education in at the age of 26, at South Birmingham College and then to Kingston University for his BMus in Music. In the summer of 2011, he went to work in Italy for the season, to work with the international band Six In The City at the world renowned Forte Village resort, where he performed in front of Gordon Ramsey, footballer Robinho, a plethora of Italian celebrities and for Tarak Ben Ammar, former manager of Michael Jackson’s HIStory tour.
While with the band, he traveled and performed all over south of Sardegna. He also performed in Geneva and at Le Louvre in Paris. In Sept 2011, he returned to Kingston University to study for his Masters degree in Music performance, which he completed in Sept 2013.
TJ has a deep passion for life, which he imbues in his performances. His belief that the audience should share the joy he feels on stage, lends itself to his performances. His main influences include, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Gospel singer Donnie McClurkin.
He has since moved to Berlin, Germany, where he is now based.
